Farm to Market Road 2147 to begin Street Widening Project

Recently, City staff attended a Pre-Construction meeting hosted by TXDOT concerning the upcoming road widening work on RR 2147.  Beginning around March 16 Angel Brothers Inc. paving and utility contractors will begin a 6-8 month project to widen 2147 with a continuous left-hand turn lane for most of 2147 from Big Spur to Bay West Blvd. Repaving and restriping the asphalt is part of this project too.  The City will pass on valuable information as needed throughout the duration of the project. As a reminder please drive with extreme caution while traveling through the work zone. The contractors will have the necessary signage in place as well as traffic control personal when needed to assist motorist navigate through the work zone.
